Bucharest Inside the Beltway is proud to host Paul Cosma-Cimpoieru performing „FROM BUCHAREST TO MANHATTAN” on Friday, June 26 starting at 7:00 pm at the Goethe Institut located in Chinatown at 812 7th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.

Using music and dance in „From Bucharest to Manhattan” Paul Cosma-Cimpoieru fervently explores a Romanian immigrant’s experiences in the Big Apple. From the subways, bodegas, tourists, Uptown, Downtown, he reveals through this interpretive dance work what it feels like to wake up in the city that never sleeps and strive to be a part of it.

Poets and playwrights Cristina Bejan and Rucsandra Pop met while collaborating on a literary festival in Bucharest in 2008 and in 2013 launched Bucharest Inside the Beltway (BiB), an arts and culture collective whose mission is to bring the fearless and progressive spirit of the arts-scene in our beloved Bucharest to the District of Columbia. BiB promotes local and international projects in the USA and Romania as well as serves as DC’s space to host visiting Romanian artists.
