The Mihai Eminescu Trust (MET) celebrates 25 years of exquisite work by launching the MET Friends network!
MET was founded in 1987 to help dissidents keep in touch with Western culture and learning, and to alert the West to Ceausescu’s plan to bulldoze Romania’s rural architecture. After the fall of Communism it evolved into its present form, dedicated to the protection of the beautiful Saxon villages of Transylvania. Up to date MET has completed over 1000 schemes in 29 villages.
Sir Simon Jenkins, Chairman of the National Trust, describes MET work as ‘exemplary conservation practice’.
If you would like to be part of this amazing experience we invite you to become Friend of The Mihai Eminescu Trust. For an annual membership of just £30 you will also be invited to the exclusive MET First launch drink party with Simon Jenkins (Chairman National Trust) speaking and an annual party thereafter, and will receive their excellent newsletter. Please make your cheque for ‘The Mihai Eminescu Trust’ and send it to the MET London office: 63 Hillgate Place, London W8 6SS.
