The Romanian Cultural Institute in New York is pleased to acknowledge the New York Times review of Ciprian Muresan’s current exhibition at David Nolan Gallery. The Cluj-based artist, notes Holland Cotter, is „one of several remarkable young Romanian artists (Mircea Cantor and Serban Savu are others) who were on the verge of their teens at the time of the 1989 revolution, and adults during the period of confused politics and disappointed ideals that followed.”

Muresan is one of the young Romanian artists that RCINY has supported starting with 2006 and his accomplishments are confirming our ongoing efforts in the accompanying of emergent Romanian arts. RCINY is also proud to exhibit, on loan courtesy and with the generosity of the artist, two of his works – „Communism never happened” (2006) and „The Communist Manifesto” (2007).
